Unable to open Packet Tracer

I'm on ubuntu 18.04 and I've installed Packet Tracer 8.0.0 through apt-get install on the deb file. It did get installed but all I'm getting on using packettracer on terminal is plain nothing. It's just going like: "Starting Packet Tracer 8.0.0" and doesn't actually open the Packet Tracer. I can even see it's icon on my Applications navigator. I've also tried installing it using software install and dpkg, still has the same problem. Any way to solve this?
