sound-indicator system slider "jumps" in steps of ~10%
So, as the 17.04 got released I decided to jump the early bandwagon and upgrade from 16.04 LTS to 16.10 to 17.04. From experience I know that upgrading to a non-LTS is hardly a smooth ride and this was no exception.
Problem
The indicator-sound slider in the system tray will only adjust in steps of ~10% when dragged. This was not the case before the upgrade.
What I've done so far
Remove
xserver-xorg-input-libinputsince it was preventing me from adjusting my mouse speed (the system settings slider didn't have any effect).Remove
unity8-desktop-session.
Observations
If I open the sound settings I get a slider that's smooth and works as expected.
